West Dean Gardens in Chichester opens its doors for the first event of the season with its Wholly Herb festival on May 16 and 17.
Sarah Wain, West Dean Gardens’ supervisor will be giving demonstrations in the walled kitchen gardens on growing and caring for herbs.
Specialist stallholder Steve Taylor, owner of The Medicine Garden herbal shop in Emsworth, will be on hand to give advice on using herbs for medicinal purposes.
Plus there will be displays on aromatherapy plants, the language of flowers and of culinary herbs, their uses, growing, harvest details and continuity of supply as well as a huge range of herbs to buy.
The event runs from 10.30am to 5pm, both days.
Admission is £7.25.
